The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan, received Father Fadi Daou on top of a delegation from Adyan Foundation, accompanied by representatives of the Islamic and Christian spiritual authorities in Lebanon.
The delegation presented a copy of the educational manual on “The Role of Christianity and Islam in Promoting Citizenship and Living Together”, which was developed in collaboration with the main official religious institutions in Lebanon – Lebanese Islamic Dar el Fatwa, High Shiite Islamic Council, Druze Council, Middle East council of churches.
The delegation also visited His Eminence Sheikh Aql of Mouwahidoun Druze Sect, Sheikh Naim Hassan, who praised the work of Adyan Foundation in the context of promoting citizenship and living together in Lebanon.
The delegation then met with Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, the president of the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council in Lebanon who praised the efforts of Adyan Foundation to value diversity and education on common values.
The launching of “The role of Christianity and Islam in promoting citizenship and living together” manual will take place on May 20th, 2017 at Hilton Hotel, Beirut under the High Patronage of HE the President of the Lebanese Republic Michel Aoun.
