For almost 25 years, the Arab World Institute has been hosting debates every Thursday with several figures who are specialists in the Arab world. On Thursday, November 16th, 2017, “L’Œuvre d’Orient” organized a lecture at the Arab World Institute in Paris with the director of the institute of citizenship and diversity management, Dr. Nayla Tabbara, who spoke about “The other in the Qur’an: a new interpretation”, alongside Fr. Eric Morin who talked about the other in the Bible.
Dr. Tabbara considered that “the qur’anic message about the other, despite some verses that portray wars and mistrust, ends on a call for action to know the other, live together and work for the benefit of all, together”.
