Introducing “ReThink” in Lebanon:
Adyan Foundation Takes a Stand Against Hate Speech

Adyan Foundation proudly announces the launch of “ReThink” in Lebanon, a groundbreaking initiative that confronts hate speech head-on. This project is a joint initiative by the winners of the Elevate Prize (2020): Father Dr. Fadi Daou and Trisha Prabhu, CEO of “ReThink™,” a patented mobile application that addresses cyberbullying. Father Fadi Daou, the co-founder of Adyan Foundation, is known for his commitment to diversity and inclusion in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The innovative “ReThink” mobile application has arrived in Lebanon to revolutionize the fight against online discrimination. Leveraging the app’s potential, Adyan Foundation has developed a curriculum specifically tailored to the Lebanese context, centered around the theme of peacebuilding. This comprehensive curriculum, developed in parallel with the mobile application, equips Lebanese youth with the necessary tools to challenge stereotypes, embrace diversity, and reject hate.

Thirteen private schools across Lebanon will be the first phase of implementing this transformative program, utilizing Android technology for smartphones and optional Desktop Chrome for classroom settings. By integrating the “ReThink” app and the specialized curriculum, Adyan Foundation is creating a holistic approach to combat hate speech and foster a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding among Lebanese students.

In addition to the classroom implementation, Adyan Foundation is launching a comprehensive digital media campaign to raise awareness about the threats of hate speech, promote media literacy, and encourage critical thinking throughout Lebanon. Engaging visual materials will be shared across Adyan Foundation’s social media platforms, igniting conversations and inspiring positive change.

This collaborative effort between Adyan Foundation and Trisha Prabhu signifies a powerful alliance dedicated to shaping a society that thrives on respect, empathy, and inclusion. By empowering students, improving school safety, and fostering introspection among both bullies and victims, we are reshaping Lebanon’s digital landscape. Together, let’s embrace “ReThink” and work towards a future where online interactions are respectful, inclusive, and free from hate speech.
