WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The major purpose of the training is to provide educators, trainers, and educational policy makers with the needed knowledge, tools and skills for a better understanding and efficient implementation of education on diversity, interculturality and citizenship inclusive of diversity in the context of the post-arab revolutions.

The training aims at helping Arab educators, trainers and educational policy makers to identify and test the appropriate techniques for introducing Inclusive Citizenship Education in their communities.

It can be given on demand to an Arab institution, or a group of teachers/trainers from any Arab country.

Objective of the Training:

Course  Description

Axis 1: Diversity in the Arab World: reality and challenges

 Mapping the different layers of diversity in the Arab world and the challenges to this diversity.

Axis 2:Identity, belonging, and public life

 The dynamics of identity and belonging in private and public life and the values of public life.

Axis 3: Citizenship models

 the different models of citizenship and the inclusive citizenship model.

Axis 4: Conflict transformation and dialogue

 The foundations of communication in public life, from conflict resolution to constant dialogue.

Axis 5: Methodology
 Skills in interactive training techniques, in the development of exercises for education on diversity and mutual understanding.

This training was implemented for 60 educators from 10 Arab countries in collaboration with Anna Lindh Foundation.
