Under the patronage of His Excellency President Michel Aoun, Adyan Foundation has organized the National Conference “From the state of Greater Lebanon 1920, to Lebanon the Message 2020” at Hilton Hotel, Beirut on 28 and 29 November 2017, with the participation of political, spiritual, military, social, academic and diplomatic figures.
President Aoun, represented by Minister Pierre Raffoul addressed the conference at the opening session. The Vatican has also expressed its support for this initiative through a message to the conference by the president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran. The Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, represented by His Excellency Ambassador Abdulrahman Al-Solh, and MP Bahia Hariri, the head of the National Initiative for the Centennial of Greater Lebanon also attended the opening ceremony.
The National Conference “From the State of Greater Lebanon 1920, to Lebanon the Message 2020” is an open national workshop to work together and contribute to the common national vision.
