Adyan Foundation was invited to take part of the “Religion, conflict and conflict transformation” conference organized by the Catholic Academic Exchange Service (KAAD), on June 8th and 9th at Saint-Joseph University (USJ), Beirut.
The Chairman of Adyan, father Fadi Daou, talked about investing in religious diversity based on the Divine Hospitality book that was published recently in its English version.
In another panel, the director of the institute of citizenship and diversity management at Adyan foundation, Dr. Nayla Tabbara and Prof. Wajih Kanso from the Lebanese University and board member at Adyan, delivered a session called “The soft power of religion: nonviolent conflict resolution in contemporary Islamic discourse(s)”.
Dalia Al-Mokdad, the media manager at Adyan has also taken part in the panel of “Education for conflict transformation” where she presented the Non-formal education projects of the foundations that have been implemented with different school students, educators, CSOs, private sector and the ministry of education, showing its role in empowering youth to become active citizens.
