Adyan’s ‘Inclusive Citizenship’ for the First Time in Iraq

Following the series of training conducted by the Institute of Citizenship and Diversity Management at Adyan Foundation in Lebanon and the Arab World on Inclusive Citizenship, the Institute held the last training in Iraq for 22 trainers from 16 to 20 December 2017. The number of participants reached 87 trainers from 9 Arab countries: Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, Sudan, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon.

In parallel and after the launching of the Iraqi Network for Inclusive Citizenship in July 2017, civil society activists from the network participated in the “Civil Society Group Workshop” from 19 to 22 December 2017 at Kufa University in Iraq, organized by the Institute of Citizenship and Diversity Management, in partnership with the UNESCO Chair for Interreligious Dialogue Studies in the Islamic World at Kufa University, and with the support of the Swedish Church.
