Within the framework of the Strategy for the Promotion and Protection of Diversity in the Arab World, the President of Adyan Foundation, Father Fadi Daou, visited Iraq and discussed the possibility of cooperation in the academic field with the University of Kufa to enhance relations in the scientific, cultural and administrative fields.
The visit included a meeting with Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Sa’id al-Tabataba’i al-Hakim in Najaf, where Father Daou discussed in depth the issues of diversity and religious differences. This was followed by a visit to “Dar Al-Elem” Foundation and a meeting with his Secretary General Jawad Al-Khoei and a group of scholars. Al Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies also hosted Father Daou in a special seminar with the Institute’s professors on issues of political and religious reform. Then the Islamic Higher Institute in Karbala honored Father Dou, where he gave a lecture.
