Adyan organizes the “Iraqi Dialogue for Nation and Citizenship-building”

The Rashad Center for Cultural Governance at Adyan foundation has organized the “Iraqi Dialogue for Citizenship” conference with the participation of 27 Iraqi personalities from the political, religious, academic and civil society fields, from 11 to 13 October 2018 at the Metropolitan Hilton Hotel, Beirut.

The conference was based on Adyan’s belief that the cultural renaissance of the Levant must be renewed by enhancing the ability of its societies and nations to achieve citizenship and manage political, ethnic, cultural and religious diversity in a way that makes this diversity a source of interaction, acquaintance, integration, positive competition, development and creativity, rather than a cause of conflict, segregation and fragmentation of society.

The conference is the first of its kind in terms of gathering the various political, religious, civil and social personalities at the same dialogue table in order to identify the current challenges for the advancement of nation-building and citizenship in Iraq.
