At the consultation meeting on “FoRB”, at the UK Parliament
Adyan Foundation, represented by its President Father Fadi Daou, has participated to the consultation meeting on “Interreligious Engagement and Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB)”, that took place on July 12-13 at the UK Parliament in London, hosted by the UK All‐Party Parliamentary Group on International “Freedom of Religion and Belief” (FoRB), the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sussex University and ISPI.
The event was attended by European and global policymakers as well as experts working for Freedom of religion and belief, including Lord Ahmed of Wimbeldon, Minister of State, Commonwealth and UN and PM’s special envoy for FoRB, and Jan Figel, the special envoy of the European Commission for the promotion of “Freedom of Religion and Belief”.
Adyan’s President presented to the participants the “White Paper for Freedom of Religion and Belief in the framework of Civil-Religious and Christian-Muslim Dialogues”, recently published by Rashad Center for Cultural Governance at Adyan Foundation.
This international consultation will continue through the organization of further similar meetings and the publication of a Policy report presented to the OSCE governments, currently under the chairmanship of Italy.
